Autrement dit principalement les riches vallées du Moyen-orient et les terres plus montagneuses de l’Asie centrale.
Parmi les nouveautés, dont une partie devrait être ajoutée au jeu de base via un patch, au programme, des types de gouvernements supplémentaires, des politiques commerciales, une gestion plus fine des provinces, des écoles islamiques, des idées nationales, des interventions de missionnaires, de janissaires ou encore le passage des armées de mercenaires à des armées permanentes bénéficiant d’une meilleure discipline militaire.
