Une première extension vient de décoller aujourd’hui en direction de nos écrans pour ce jeu de stratégie en tour par tour, classique des premières heures du jeu vidéo qui tel le phénix a renait de ses cendres à l’automne dernier. Phénix qui d’ailleurs ici grâce à ce DLC ne va pas se contenter d’être symbolique, allant vraiment pouvoir descendre sur vos troupes, ou plutôt de préférence celles de vos ennemis, pour les écharper en beauté.
Au menu, une campagne d’une trentaine de scénarios avec un nouveau système à embranchement incluant des cartes générées de manière procédurale mais aussi différents héros pour mener vos armées. Probablement une bonne idée pour varier le style de vos parties. Et bien entendu de nouvelles unités, une douzaine, sur le thème des créatures volantes qui vont ici ajouter une dimension aérienne supplémentaire à vos batailles.
A noter qu’un important patch 7 est venu en parallèle améliorer, corriger et / ou rééquilibrer de nombreux aspects du jeu (voir ce changelog). Et enfin au passage que pour l’occasion de cette sortie jusqu’au 20 mars prochain le jeu de base est en promotion à -35%.

Fantasy General II returns with its first DLC, Onslaught!
This new expansion brings the brand new Onslaught branching campaign, a dynamic campaign in which you will fight on procedural maps and hunt for the Book of Krell, an ancient and mysterious relic. Choose the hero you’d like, then carry over your army in the 30 scenarios campaign. No playthrough will ever be the same.
Furthermore, Onslaught introduces thirteen new aerial units for both the Empire and the Barbarians and allowing for daring new tactics.

Onslaught is being released alongside the new patch, Patch 7, a massive free update for everyone who owns the base game. It is a rather big update, containing, among other things, plenty new units! Check it out here.
