En bref. Paradox diffuse une courte bande-annonce pour son prochain add-on, qui se consacrera essentiellement à la péninsule ibérique (semble-t-il une des régions favorites des joueurs).
Au programme, un nouveau mécanisme de jeu majeur, nommé Lutte, pour résoudre les conflits à grande échelle, en plusieurs étapes, celles-ci pouvant s’étaler sur des décennies voire des siècles. Mécanisme qui se veut complexe et pourrait s’avérer intéresser justement pour mieux simuler de longues guerres. Ce Dev diary, numéro 93, dans le forum officiel explique un peu plus les nouveautés, screenshots à l’appui.

Fate of Iberia Adds New System and More Regional Color

This flavor pack for Paradox Interactive’s critically acclaimed grand strategy role-playing game introduces Struggles, a new system that highlights the unique historical circumstances that typify regions that have been centers of conflict. In Fate of Iberia, players will have new tools to deal with the region’s particular situation, with rival claims and personal grudges taking center stage amidst the vibrant cultural mosaic of Medieval Spain.

Features of Crusader Kings III: Fate of Iberia include:
Struggle system: Entirely new system for historic conflict, fully moddable and customizable.
Decide the Fate of Iberia: Choose the path of conciliation or the path of conquest as you unite Spain or, alternately, agree to a peaceful division of spoils.

This update will add a new faction type to challenge your ruler, Heads of Faith that can be shared by different religions, vassal contracts for clans, and, of course, a new starting bookmark that highlights interesting Iberian characters for the 867 start date.
