En bref. Voici un nouveau trailer pour cette prochaine troisième extension qui va ouvrir ce 4X signé par Soren Johnson (Civilization IV, Off World Trading Company) au thème de l’Égypte ancienne. Au programme, une civilisation pour le mode bac à sable (le royaume de Kush), six scénarios historiques libres, de nombreux personnages, et de manière générale un cadre s’étalant sur quatre siècles (entre la 17ème et la 20ème dynastie, pour les connaisseurs).

4X game Old World heads to Ancient Egypt in new DLC pack
The historical strategy game puts players in charge of one of the ancient world’s mightiest empires in new add-onSeptember 27, 2023 – Travel back to the time of Pharaohs and the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt in the next DLC for Hooded Horse and Mohawk Games’ 4X strategy game Old World, which will release on October 4, 2023. The Pharaohs of the Nile pack introduces a new narrative-driven campaign with unique events, mechanics, as well as new content for the sandbox campaign.
In the new story-driven campaign, players will experience the rise and fall of one of the ancient world’s mightiest empires – the Kingdom of Kemet (the old name for Egypt). Experience the trials and tribulations of ancient Kemet from its initial founding, through its Golden Age and internal struggles against powerful religious factions, culminating in the Bronze Age collapse and the great migration of the “Sea People.”
This campaign will come with unique mechanics, such as the Nile River flooding cycle, scenario-specific content such as the Ma’at meter to track whether your nation is in balance, and plenty of new characters, NPCs, and event chains. Pay close attention, as you may find yourself in a story inspired by the Old Testament’s Book of Exodus.
For the sandbox campaign, players can play as Kush, a newly added nation that rose to prominence after the collapse in the 8th century BCE. Along with the usual array of national bonuses and unique units, Kush is the first nation in Old World to get a unique improvement – the Kushite Pyramids. There are also five dynasties to pick from, like Piye, the first Kushite Pharaoh who united Kush and Egypt under one rule, and Amanirenas, the Warrior Queen who led Kush against the Roman Empire.
The new DLC will be localized into German, French, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.
Old World – Pharaohs of the Nile will be available via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
