Kalypso a mis en ligne le premier épisode d’une série de vidéos dans laquelle le producteur de Sudden Strike 4, Christian Schlütter, récapitule ici le principe du jeu, donc d’un STR sur le thème de 39-45. Au delà des généralités d’usage cette présentation permet de découvrir différents aspects de la campagne, de l’interface, et, à partir de la sixième minute, du gameplay avec un scénario d’introduction sur le thème du siège de Leningrad.
Mission jouée coté soviétique où l’on apercevra des unités russes progressant sur le lac Ladoga pour sécuriser la “route de la vie”, c’est à dire protéger les convois qui circulaient sur un lac gelé, celui qui permit fin 1941 aux soviétiques de ravitailler la ville durant son très long siège. Parmi les détails intéressants que permettra le nouveau moteur de jeu, on retiendra que dans le cas de ce scénario il est par exemple possible de détruire une partie de la glace recouvrant le lac, afin de pénaliser les assaillants allemands. Qui peuvent toutefois très logiquement en faire autant.
A noter que ceux souhaitant précommander le jeu, dont la sortie est prévue sur PC, Mac et PS 4 vers l’été prochain, recevront en bonus une carte exclusive sur le thème de la bataille de Kursk.
Enfin au passage sachez aussi que l’éditeur a mis en ligne, pour iOS et pour Android, une application dite compagnon, c’est à dire une sorte de quizz compétitif pour tester votre connaissance de la 2ème GM. Quizz qui permet de gagner des médailles qui ne seront pas que honorifiques, car pouvant débloquer soit une réduction totale de 25% du prix du jeu (sur Steam, où le jeu est déjà en promo à -15%), soit des cartes joker, utilisables en bonus lors d’escarmouches. Une idée originale si vous avez du temps à perdre avec votre smartphone.
